Pop Up Thumbnail with Image Progress

JOSH TYNJALA of flexbox fame released a very handy pop up image flex component, it is simple and very useful, easy to use and a great addition to any flex toolbox, it is released under an MIT-style license. I am thinking that this is and excellent component for image galleries and the likes.

Adobe fires 600 employees worldwide
If you have not heard yet adobe fired 600 employees worldwide, reports are that is was due to poor CS4 sales, I don’t believe it one bit I felt for a long time that adobe buy up of all the great related talent on the web was going to leave then a bit overweight! The looming recession does not do much to help either.
The question is, is this a sign of a slow down of the adobe seemingly unstopable growing empire, and a sign of things to come for the developers and creative professional that make a living using adobe’s tools?

It also brings a premature end to my Kohana cookbook plans!
Power is and amazing I guess even in the online world some people just need it feed their underveloped egos.
Godbye Kohana!
